Appointments and Emergencies
You now have two choices when you want to see a doctor:
- Booked appointments
- You can select the date and time (subject to availability)
- You can choose which doctor you want to see
- You can book up to 6 weeks in advance
- you can make appointments over the internet, automated telephone system, or at the reception.
- Turn up on the day
- Monday to Friday
- You must arrive at the practice between 8.30am and 9.30am
- First-come first-served basis
- You will see the first available doctor
- Be prepared to wait - hopefully, not for too long!
Cancellations
If, for whatever reason, you can not attend a booked appointment, please let us know as soon as possible so that the appointment can be offered to another patient.
Please try and arrive at least 5 minutes before your appointment time. When you arrive, inform the receptionist so that you can be seen as soon as possible. Note that the doctors will endeavour to keep their consultations to time, but due to the wide range of consultations it is not possible to guarantee that you will see the doctor at the appointed time.
Urgent treatment and Emergencies
Emergency cases are given priority, and will be seen the same day, but not necessarily by your usual doctor.
Late Arrival
If you are more the 15 minutes late, then you will need to make another appointment to see the Doctor.
